Who Eastern Wing Was...

Eastern Wing was a group of extremely talented musicians that surfaced in NE Pennsylvania in the late 80's. They made music just for the sheer passion of doing so. They released two incredible albums, Original, & BPFH.(pronounced bee-pee-eff-haych) A third album was in the process of being recorded when a small electrical fire destroyed the tapes. People on the inside say that the unfinished third album would have put the first two to shame with it incredible melodic ferocity and great hooks. What is unclear is the reason behind Eastern Wing's break up. To quote Angelo Panzarella, who played drums on a few EW tracks as well as providing vocals for a few, "One day I woke up and there was no more Eastern Wing."

Bio
After working with members of such bands like 3 Stoned Men, Wake Up Naked, Cry Baby, Azlan, Eleventh Hour, Breaking Benjamin and countless local NEPA musicians in the past 11 years Jeff Bonomo & Brian Powell decided to record an album for, the "Hell" of it. With the creative input of Joe "Brick" Panzarella the three decided to write in as many different style as possible. Soon songs like "I've Got A Baseball Bat & A Ski Mask In The Trunk Of My Car,"  "Choke Kojak," "33" and "Kerplackistanian Nights" emerged from the recording sessions. All very different tunes. A name had to be decided on. That name, resurrected from the ashes of a joke that had it's origins in 1988 would be Eastern Wing. Can you actually describe EW? You just got to hear them. They are all over the musical spectrum. Sometimes they have something to say sometimes they don't. So far the reviews of the EW tracks have been either "Musical Genius" or "what the hell was that?" Some get it some don't.
